Butcher, baker, pita chip maker. Every year, job seekers choose the same occupations...but how many of these people end up making pita chips for a living? How many folks, for that matter, even eat them? Must be a lot because people are gobbling them up by the bagful and bowlful. And they're eating them in large part due to the efforts of Regina Ragonese. As owner of Regenie's Crunchy Pita Chips, Regina has been cooking up a mean batch of pita chips ever since she owned a Mediterranean restaurant in 1994. Today, Regina's goal is to dazzle America with different ideas, textures, and tastes. It's a big challenge, but then she responds to challenges the way chip lovers respond to her snacks: with plenty of gusto and a big appetite for more.
